Medicine Hat College Evening Courses
For those individuals that have barriers to daytime learning but still require specified business training, Community Futures Entre-Corp has several evening courses available through Continuing Studies at the Medicine Hat College as well as at the Brooks Campus of the Medicine Hat College. Experienced facilitators teach a variety of two and three night courses targeted towards specific business related topics.
Starting Your Own Business (Two evenings)
This seminar will give you a step-by-step outline of the business planning process and the importance of good business planning. It provides you with all the tools you need to get your business up and running.
Bookkeeping for Small Business (Three evenings)
This three evening seminar is designed for small business owner/operators. It will give you a basic understanding of manual bookkeeping for small to medium size business.
Managing Your Payroll/Managing the GST (Two evenings)
All aspects of completing a manual payroll will be covered in this session. Topics include Receiver General remittance, calculation of deductions, employment standards, labour standards and more. Our GST section covers registration, collection, remittance and other basic information you need in order to comply with the Goods and Services Tax. We also cover completing your GST return!
Budgeting Your Business Cash Flow (Two evenings)
The cash flow statement is one of the most important and useful tools for small business owners. It will help you determine good and bad times well in advance so you can be well equipped and prepared. The session will take you step-by step through preparing an effective cash flow statement for your business.
Business Planning For Success (Two Evenings)
This seminar will provide you with the knowledge and tools to construct and complete a business plan. It will guide you through each component of the business planning process including: product definition, researching the industry and market, operational planning, management structure, and developing financial forecasts. This seminar will also help you set goals with measurable results to ensure your business is on target for success. Starting your own Business course not required prior to entry into this class but is recommended.
