Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Self Employment Training
Entrepreneurs who are faced with disabilities can now access Self Employment Training to assist them in the start up of their business venture.
This specialized program includes:
- Detailed business concept assessment including entry into BOSS workshop
- Regular Self Employment Training (8 weeks) with optional part time (16 weeks) participation if disability prevents full time classroom attendance
- Additional training workshops on Self Empowerment and Personal Financial Planning
- One to one business coaching and mentorship with a business professional from the community
- Access to Business Loans for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities
Clients interested in participating in the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Self Employment Program must meet the following criteria:
- Must have viable business concept
- Must complete all application forms and be deemed eligible to attend training
- Must be fully capable of attending classroom training a minimum of 2 days per week
- Must possess basic computer knowledge and/or capacity to learn basic computer software programs (i.e. Word, Excel)
