What are 'Life Skills'? Life Skills are the problem-solving skills individuals use to manage their lives successfully in five areas: self, family, community, career and leisure.

Examples of Life Skills topics are:

In a Life Skills group, the coach uses experiential techniques such as role-playing, structured exercises and small group discussion to facilitate learning and behaviour change.
