Rural Day Home Operator Program
Have you ever thought about working from home and also love working with children? The Rural Day Home Operator Program might just be for you. The Rural Day Home Operator Program is a government-sponsored initiative to help individuals living in Rural Communities (in excess of 30 km from Medicine Hat), who are interested in becoming Day Home providers. To reach those in the surrounding rural communities the course is offered as a distance learning program which can be completed in as little as 8 weeks.
The outcome of the program is to develop the necessary skills to operate a successful and accredited Day Home ultimately creating subsidized child care spaces in these communities. Clients will receive Self Employment training, soft skills training, day care training including Level 1 orientation to day care through Base-Corp (online learning), food/nutrition training, and much more.
Suitable participants who meet the required criteria can apply to enter this training program and receive the training for FREE. Clients who are eligible may also receive up to a maximum of 26 weeks of EI and/or Learner Benefits during this program.
